Balloons Over - Dartmouth |

| |
Land Ahoy! Now the beautiful Devon port town of Dartmouth is as much a place to embark on voyage in the sky as is the sea.
Setting sail from our launch site just north of Dartmouth, one of our most costal locations, the views could leave you breathless.
To the stern (or rear, if you’re a land-lover) will be the town itself sitting high on a hill above the deep water port, which has existed since Roman times. Look out for the imposing castle which dates from the 14th century.
Beyond that, you’ll see the glistening Dart Estuary, fed by the English Channel and still active with scores of vessels, and on the other bank, Kingswear.
Meanwhile, to port (or left), the fantastic South Hams coastline should wind away down towards Torquay in the distance and the rolling Devon countryside will promise untold sights of interest further north.
Look out for remote villages like Halwell with its impressive 15th century church, St Leonard’s, and Harbertonford in the valley of the Harbourne, a tributary of the Dart.
It’s quite possible you’ll end up back near Totnes or South Brent your original meeting place where you’ll enjoy a refreshing glass of champagne before making your safe voyage home.
So, if you’re after spectacular scenery, then drop anchor at our Dartmouth launch site and enjoy a trip-of-a-lifetime!
