Balloons Over - Crewe - (Crewe Hall)

Once the boom town of the railway age, Crewe is now home to an even older and more romantic form of transport - the hot air balloon!

Our huge Virgin balloon will need no tracks to whisk you into the sky above the beautiful Cheshire countryside from our new launch site at the magnificent Crewe Hall.

The Jacobean mansion, which has been a family home, a World War II prisoner of war camp for high ranking German officers and is now a luxury retreat owned by Marston Hotels, will be the ideal starting point for your journey.

Everyone travels in First Class with us and you’re bound to love the views including the town of Crewe itself with its world famous train station and distinctive tower of Christ Church.

As you float upwards and onwards and the wonderfully green Cheshire plain stretches away before you, you may be lucky enough to spy the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank Observatory. Just think; the massive white dish of the radio telescope could be searching Outer Space at that very moment.

The Potteries, Trentham Gardens, and even the southern reaches of the Peak District could also come into view during your magical mystery tour.

So climb aboard. Next stop - the clouds!
