Hot air balloon adventurers tell it how it is

By Kirsty, April 15, 2010 11:58 am

Although it may seem ‘proper’ and appropriate to be modest and humble regarding one’s own achievements and to never fish for compliments or broadcast such achievements in a mildly viral manor … there’s surely nothing wrong with letting our lovely passengers do the talking!

The Virgin Balloon Flights season has got off to a flying start and we have happy-peeps throughout England, Scotland and Wales itching to tell us how “fantastic” and “amazing” their balloon trips have been.  Thanks to some pretty kind spring weather (I should think so after all that snow!) 2010 looks set to be one of our best years ever.

“My husband and I flew with your Devon crew- Richard Prowse and Co on Thursday evening (8/4/10)…… I had the time of my life…… I can honestly say that I was not scared at all during the Virgin balloon flight, the pilot and crew were very friendly, well organised and professional at all times. The flight was so smooth and the views were breathtaking. I would definitely recommend the flight to all my family and friends. Once again I would like to thank everyone and to let you know that I will definitely be arranging another flight with you in the future”  Mrs R Schutt, Devon

“I enjoyed the flight and the whole experience a lot ….. For me the teamwork, the preparation, take-off, flight and ‘taking down’ were all great fun (although clearly the flight was breathtaking!). Once again, thanks to you and the team for what was a very well organised day.”  Mr N Gunn, Bakewell

So, a round of applause please for pilot Richard Prowse in Devon, Neal Parry and Rebecca Cains who fly in Derbyshire and all of their crew.If you would like to become airborne like these happy customers, our balloon flights currently start from just £94.99pp with our special offers, so get set for the experience of a lifetime.

It is the season to be flying…

And they’re off…The Virgin Balloon Flights flying season began on the 1st of March and we are revving up the burners to give excited passengers the experience of a lifetime until late October (flying season may vary in some areas).

Flying from over one hundred wonderful launch sites in England, Scotland and Wales, our pilots are keen to keep the sunshine out for both morning and evening flights no less than 7 days a week.

Want to buy a ticket as a gift? No problem; although the flying season runs from March – October, every lovely ticket has a 12 month validity period, just make sure the recipient gives our Telford based call centre a buzz within 3 months of the ticket start date of this gorgeous gift. Or, simply log on to our ‘book a flight’ page online.

Mum’s the Word!

For most of us, from the moment we’re born, there is one woman that answers to our every need, she feeds us when we’re hungry, clothes us when we’re cold and wipes our tears when we cry…

How do we repay her?

If you’re looking for an amazing Mother’s Day gift, make a great gesture this year and give your Mum the gift of a lifetime; a champagne balloon ride from Virgin Balloon Flights is the perfect way to show her how much you care.

Mum’s adventure includes a three to four hour experience with one hour’s flying time and a traditional champagne toast when she receives her flight certificate signed by Sir Richard Branson and her pilot.  Alternatively, you can treat your lovely Mum to a stylish ‘Celebration package’ which includes Virgin goodies and an engraved crystal champagne flute.

Go on, make Mum smile J

Up, up and away…

The 2010 hot air ballooning season is now under way and that’s not the only thing.

The Virgin Balloon Flights Blog has also just launched and promises to keep us very busy whilst we bring all things ballooning to you, whatever the weather.

Our company was founded over 22 years ago and some of our pilots have been flying hot air balloons for over 30 years, having hundreds of thousands of flying hours between them, so yes, we have TONS of ballooning talk to talk.
