Hot Air Balloons Over - Whitchurch (Hill Valley Hotel) |
|
| |
Take a hot air balloon ride over Whitchurch and see one of Shropshire’s most historic places from high above.
The Hill Valley Hotel near the busy market town is a fantastic starting point for ballooning rides over Shropshire or Cheshire. Both counties offer miles of beautiful, patchwork landscape for you to enjoy.
The Romans built the town in 70AD and, although there’s little remaining from those times, there’s plenty of Medieval, Georgian and Victorian architecture to be seen on Virgin Balloon Flights from Whitchurch.
You could fly over the Brown Moss Nature Reserve an area of pools, mosses and peat bogs which was created over 10,000 years ago in the last ice age. It is now a haven for wildlife and an interesting place to see from a hot air balloon. Whitchurch is the oldest continually inhabited town in Shropshire and is believed to be the original home of Cheshire Cheese. Why not try the local produce and make up your own mind.
You will launch from the Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, a welcoming 4-star hotel set in peaceful private grounds 20 miles from both Shrewsbury and Chester. It’s the perfect place to relax after your ballooning adventure.
