A hot air balloon ride over Norwich is a spectacular way to see this stunning part of England from the majestic perspective of one of the oldest forms of aviation. If your balloon drifts north east, the fine Jacobean country house on the National Trust’s Blickling Estate might come into view, whilst looking north west it is possible to see the Wash and the north Norfolk coastline. If you fly westerly you might spot Ely Cathedral whilst south there’s tranquil Thetford Forest; a patchwork of pines, heathland and broadleaves. Castle Acre with its 11th century priory and 13th century castle along with National Trust property Oxborough Hall might also drift serenely beneath your balloon basket.
