Historic Monmouth, located in south Wales is the birthplace of King Henry V and is home to a magnificent collection of Britain's greatest naval hero, Horatio Lord Nelson's material.
King Henry V was born in Monmouth Castle in 1387, and went on to defeat the French at Agincourt. Locally he was renowned for his ability to keep the peace with the warring Owain Glendower who sought to gain control over the Welsh Marches.
Nelson, visited Monmouth twice and praised the townsfolk for their loyalty to the King. Take the first left Osbaston Road, following signs to the cemetery.
At the bottom of the hill before the school you will see a green iron bridge on your left.
