We’re always searching for perfect launch sites for our balloon rides and here in Nottingham we have landed another superb spot at Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick Park. Situated to the west of the city centre you’ll rise above Colwick Country Park and Marina and the spectacular National Water Sports Centre where elite athletes are selected for the Olympics. There’s no denying, it is an excellent choice to begin your hot air ballooning adventure.
To the west you’ll get a birdseye’s view of the modern cityscape – you may be lucky enough to spot your favourite places, where you work, or maybe even your home?
As the River Trent, adjacent to the racecourse, winds its way beneath, sports fans will relish the chance to view Nottingham Forest FC’s home, The City Ground, along with the Trent Bridge cricket stadium from the air just to the east of the launch site.

Follow the A52 Once in Nottingham, follow the brown signs or yellow Park & Ride signs to Nottingham Racecourse. *Please do not enter the Racecourse* Passengers should park and meet the balloon team opposite the entrance to The Colwick Hall Hotel.
