Okehampton in central Devon lies on the north edge of Dartmoor National Park. Dartmoor is well known as a large and beautiful wilderness of hills and tors. The town of Okehampton is approximately 25 miles to the west of the city of Exeter and was initially settled in the Bronze Age.
