Avenue Wood close by has an amazing avenue running right the way through it which was a former carriageway and has views of Temple Newsam house from each rise.

Come off the M1 at Junction 46 and take the A 6120 towards Leeds City Centre. At the roundabout where the dual carriageway finishes, take the second exit (A63). About 500 yards further down on the A63 turn left where it is sign posted Temple Newsam Country Park.
From Leeds City Centre:
Temple Newsam Country Park is about 4 miles from the City Centre. It is sign posted off the A63 on the right hand side.
Please park in the car park indicated on the map and walk over to the balloon in the field opposite the car park.
