Wrexham Hot Air Balloon Ride

Fun & Interesting Facts

Wrexham was a stop on the world’s first scheduled passenger helicopter service from Liverpool to Cardiff. The service ran from 1950 to 1951, with a return fair from Wrexham to Liverpool costing £1.

About

Experience the truly stunning Welsh landscape from on high when you go up, up and away on our North Wales hot air balloon ride.

Your airborne adventure begins in the beautiful grounds of National Trust Erddig, just south of Wrexham.

Spectacular countryside views await whichever way the wind takes you, from the lower Dee Valley and majestic Welsh Hills to the west or the dramatic Cheshire plains to the east.

Erddig itself is well worth a visit before or after your flight, when you can enjoy up close the restored 18th century garden and pleasure grounds seen from above.

And the homemade bara brith and scones are a must-try.

You truly will make memories to last a lifetime with the unique experience of our North Wales hot air balloon ride.

Directions

From A483, exit at junction 3 and take the A5152 Wrexham Road, signposted Rhostyllen and with the brown tourist signs for Erddig.

After another mile, the entrance to Erddig is on your left.
Follow the drive all the way up and park in the Orchard Car Park.
