Old Oswestry Hillfort is at least 2,000 years old and dates back to the Iron Age. It is said to have been the birthplace of Queen Ganhumara - better known as Queen Guinevere of the King Arthur legends. Oswestry-born poet Wilfred Owen also completed his army training there during the World War I.

Directions

Travelling along the A5, at the Mile End Roundabout just outside Oswestry, take the A483 signposted Welshpool. After 1.5 miles, take the third turning on the left into Sweeney Hall.

Leave vehicles parked in front of Sweeney Hall and the team will be setting up on the large field in front of the hall.
