Sycamore Farm is a back up launch site for our Sheffield balloon rides.
A suburban farm located in northern Sheffield just to the north of Ecclesfield and south of Burncross and Chapeltown.
Travelling North out of Sheffield on A61 Halifax Road, turn right onto Whitley Lane signposted for Whitley. Follow this road for less than one mile, you will pass Lily Pad nursery on your left, and as the road bends to the left the entrance to the farm is on your right.
There is large green building/barn which clearly marks the top of the farmyard. Parking is provided anywhere in the top of the yard but please don't block access to the farm. Please be respectful of private residents on site.
Your pilot and crew will meet you at the top of the yard and will escort you towards the launch site located a one minute walk away through the farm yard. The launch area itself is located directly down the farm yard and into the first grass field on the right.
