Offering stunning views over Norfolk as far as the eye can see, Old Buckenham Country Park is one of our back-up launch sites for Norwich and Brome in Suffolk.
Set in 35 acres of parkland with a lovely cafe, this eco-friendly camp site and nature reserve really is a beautiful spot for a hot air balloon ride over Norfolk or Suffolk.
If you have booked for one of these two main launch sites, your flight may be moved to Old Buckenham on the day, depending on the conditions.
Travelling South on the A11 between Norfolk and Thetford, exit onto the B1077 signposted for Diss and Attleborough. At the top of the slip road, turn left.
Stay on the B1077, travelling through Attleborough and after four miles, you will come into Old Buckenham.
Travelling North on the A11, take the exit for Shropham and Quidenham and at the end of the slip road, turn left onto Hargham Road, towards Quidenham.
After three miles, you will come to Old Buckenham and at the end of the road, turn right to join the B1077.
Continue through and after leaving the village itself, after a quarter of a mile, turn right onto Doe Lane.
Continue down the lane and the entrance to Old Buckenham Country Park will be on your right.
Follow the drive round to the right towards the cafe and park adjacent to the cafe on the right hand side. The balloon crew will meet you there.
