Directions

From Edinburgh:
Take A702 south and turn right onto A721, signposted Glasgow. Just beyond Elsrickle, turn left as signposted for Biggar. After 200 yards turn right. At the end of the road, turn left and then right onto Shieldhill Road. After 1.5 miles, Shieldhill Castle is on the right.

From Glasgow:
From M8 exit at Junction 6 onto A73 towards Lanark. In Carluke, turn left onto A721, signposted Peebles. In Carnwath, at the traffic lights turn right onto B7016 towards Biggar. After five miles turn right onto Shieldhill Road. Shieldhill Castle is 1.5 miles on the right.

PLEASE DO NOT go into Shieldhill Castle Car Park. The pilot will meet you outside and launch site is the field next door.
