Our launch site in Stamford Meadows is a scenic spot north west of Peterborough, in the lovely Lincolnshire town of Stamford.
A Virgin Balloon Flights trip from here offers flyers excellent views over Deeping St James and the River Welland and is an experience not to be missed.
Hot air balloon rides from this launch site also often drift over towards Grantham, the birthplace of the late Margaret Thatcher.
Turn off from the A1 at the Burghley roundabout and take the B1081 into town. Carry on straight over the river and up into St. Mary’s Hill. Follow the road around to the left and then when the road next turns sharp right, you should turn left into Castle Street and then turn first left into Castle Dyke. This will lead you down to the parking on Bath Row. Park safely in the Pay and Display car park and walk onto the launch site to meet the Balloon.
