West Sussex Hot Air Balloon Ride

Fun & Interesting Facts

Petworth was previously voted 'Best Antiques Town' and has connections to famous artist JMW Turner as a frequent visitor to the National Trust's Petworth House estate.

Take life higher on a majestic West Sussex hot air balloon ride from our pretty launch site near the village of Petworth.

Keep an eye out for the beautiful Ebernoe Common Nature Reserve as you go up, up and away over rolling landscapes, dotted with pretty villages.

The South Downs National Park lies to the South West, while a wind that takes you north may bring in views over woodlands and patchwork fields.

To the south lies the picturesque village of Petworth itself, home to the National Trust's stunning Petworth House and Park.

Displaying one of the charity's finest art collections and with grounds designed by iconic 18th Century landscape designer Capability Brown, the estate is unforgettable when viewed from on high.

Wherever the wind chooses to take you on the day, West Sussex balloon flights are an experience to remember and talk about for years to come.

From Petworth, head north on the A283 London Road towards Guildford and Northchapel. Approximately 3 miles from the mini roundabout coming out of the village, you will see signs for Blackwool Farm and BSB Launch Site.

Take the track on the right off the main road and follow for approximately 150 yards to a track coming off to the left, also signposted with a white BSB sign. Follow this down to the green hanger where the pilot and crew will meet you.

Please note this track is not suitable for vehicles with very low ground clearance.
