Keeping the Kids Flying High - Science Activity for kids

Reading Time - 1 minute

We hope you have enjoyed our Virgin Balloon Flights activities so far...

Our next instalment for our eager home learners is based around the 'Science of Hot Air Ballooning'.

Gecko's Hot Air Balloon Ride

A little while ago, we joined forces with Gecko and the amazing team at Toddler Fun Learning to come up with an awesome video to teach our kids about the science of flying a hot air balloon.

It combines scientific learning for kids with the beautiful views that can be enjoyed from a balloon ride in the UK.

Here is what Gecko's friend Shereef Hosny ( Development Manager at Toddler Fun Learning ) had to say about the project.

"All of us at Toddler Fun Learning and especially Gecko have always wanted to create a Gecko’s Real Vehicles featuring a hot air balloon, so teaming up with Virgin Balloon Flights to create the episode was a dream come true.

"We had the most amazing day up amongst the clouds with the wonderful Virgin Balloon Flights team and we are all so delighted with how the episode turned out.

"Gecko is already nagging us about when we can get him back up in a hot air balloon!"

Moving onto our science activity, let's see if your little ones enjoy this as much as we did at Virgin Balloon Flights.

Gecko's Fun filled Science Activity

Gecko loves to learn and we know you do too, so click on the picture of our Science Of Ballooning quiz below to download it.

The answers can all be found in Gecko's video at the top of this blog. Can you watch it and help him with his homework by completing his sentences of fun facts about hot air balloons?

As with all of our blogs, we would love to hear your feedback, what you have been doing at home, and pictures of any completed work on our social media or in the comments.
