“ My name is Jarryd and I have just completed a week’s work experience at Virgin Balloon Flights. I am currently a 6th-form student at Thomas Telford School and I am studying English language, Biology, History and ICT. I took this work experience because I was interested in PR and Marketing and I felt that Virgin, which is a reputable global brand, would be a great place gain experience in this field.
During my time here I have been getting a feel for the day-to-day activities within the business and I have learnt about the various packages that are available to customers. I was also set the task of researching the various sites and seeing how the business could link the Virgin Balloon Flights website to those of the 100+ launch sites. I found this interesting as I was able to see just how nice some of the launch sites which the Balloons took off from.
From my time here I can tell that all the people who work here put in 100% to make sure that your experience is the best it can possibly be and do whatever they can to accommodate everyone’s needs. I found this particularly impressive.
If I were to do a flight myself I would personally go for the Celebration Package as it is one of the best packages available and I plan to do this when I have the money. I would love to fly over Telford in the evening to see what it would look like from above.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone at Virgin Balloon Flights for the help they have given me over the course of this week and I have found the week to be enjoyable and I look forward to booking a flight with them sometime soon.”
