Bristol Keynsham is a practical back-up launch site used for selected Bristol flights when conditions suit this side of the city better than Ashton Court.
The launch field is at Keynsham Rugby Club and is also the site used by Keynsham Archers on Google Maps, making it a straightforward alternative meeting point when required.

From the A4 Keynsham Bypass, at Hicks Gates roundabout take the A4175 Durley Hill. After approximately half a mile, continue straight at the mini roundabout and then after a few hundred yards the entrance to the rugby club is on your left, opposite The Crown Inn.
Drive through to the end of the car park, left down the slight slope towards the playing fields and then turn right. Park to the right of the gate on the gravel along the fence line of the sports field.
Then walk around the edge of the field to the bottom right-hand corner, which is the balloon launch field. Parking in this car park is free, but your car and property are left entirely at your own risk. Please do not drive on any of the sports fields.
