Take to the skies for an unforgettable Nantwich hot air balloon ride and enjoy beautiful Cheshire from on high.
Launching from Nantwich Showground, this medieval market town is as stunning from the air as it is on the ground and offers stunning views whichever direction the wind takes you.
As you launch, look out for the 400-year-old Jacobean mansion that is Dorfold Hall, surrounded by stunning gardens and beautiful lake.
See if you can spot the 1,000-year-old Spanish chestnut tree near the old stable yard and the only remaining legacy of the original ancient Delamere Forest.
The town itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside in every direction, so you will enjoy spectacular views whichever direction the wind takes you on your Nantwich hot air balloon ride.
A southerly wind could take you towards and over Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, one of the UK’s most secret former defence sites and which played a central role in the country’s defence for almost 60 years.
Champion balloon pilot Dominic Bareford flies our big red hot air balloon in Cheshire and looks forward to welcoming you on board.
Each year, the hugely popular Nantwich Show is held at the showground every year on the last Wednesday of July and is the largest one-day agricultural show in the UK.
The 100-year-old International Cheese Awards are also held alongside show – the largest if its kind with more than 5,000 of the finest cheeses from across the world tasted and judged by 250 cheese experts.
And don’t forget, our North West regional vouchers can be used not just for Nantwich hot air balloon rides, but for flights from any of our launch sites across Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.

From the A51 Nantwich bypass, exit onto the B5341 on the North West side of Nantwich, signposted Nantwich, Acton and with brown tourist signs for Nantwich Marina. After one mile, pass the entrance for Dorfold Hall then take the third gate on the right into the showground.
If the gate is open, drive through and please leave your vehicle parked close to the entrance, where you will be met by your flight crew. If the gate is closed, please pull up and wait for your flight crew, who will be with you very shortly.
Note: If you pass under the Shropshire Union Canal, you have driven too far and will need to turn around and take the first left once you pass back under.
