One of our back-up sites for Alton, Fernhurst and Guildford, your flight may be moved here on the day.

A flight from Petersfield South offers stunning views of the beautiful South Downs National Park.

A north easterly wind could take you towards to tree-lined hills around Durford Wood and Hill Brow, while to the west lie the Hampshire Downs. Views on a southerly flight could bring in views of Butser Hill and Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Petersfield itself is a pretty market down, with a good range of shops and eateries and is well worth a visit before or after your balloon ride.

Directions

From the A3, take the exit signposted Petersfield B2070. After 0.8 of a mile, take the first exit at the roundabout onto London Road, signposted Midhurst A272. After 300 metres, turn right at the staggered crossroads onto Pulens Lane. After another 0.9 of a mile, turn left onto Rival Moor Road, following the sign for Leisure Centre and the Taro Leisure Centre is at the end of the road.

Please park at the far end of the car park, opposite the Petersfield Rugby Club building.

Toilets are usually available at the site, although they may not be open for very early morning flights.
