Usk has been crowned one of the best blooming towns in Wales—quite literally! It's won Wales in Bloom loads of times, and from above in a hot air balloon, it’s a patchwork of colour and charm, wrapped around the River Usk like a floral ribbon. It's the kind of view that makes you fall in love with flying all over again.
This backup site isn’t our main launch spot—just an alternative meeting location we use for Raglan if needed.
From A449 exit onto the A472 signposted for Usk and Brynbuga. Follow the A472 for approximately a mile and a half all the way into Usk, past the town square and turn left on Maryport Street just before White Hare Distillery. After 100 yards, turn right and drive straight down into the car park.
This is free parking and the crew will meet you here with a minibus to take you to the launch site.
