Chelmsford Hot Air Balloon Ride

Fun & Interesting Facts

The UK’s first ever public audio broadcast was made from Chelmsford in June 1920. Said to have been received as far away as Newfoundland in Canada, it featured Australian opera singer Dame Nellie Melba.
