Take to the skies with a Northampton hot air balloon ride from the town’s annual festival of fun and flight.
Held at The Racecourse in the centre of the town, Northampton Town Festival returns this July and once again, Virgin Balloon Flights will be the only operator providing passenger flights from the event.
The two day event, which is free to attend, will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July and offers a fun-filled weekend for all the family, with hot air balloons, a giant funfair, arena entertainment, live music and more.
We have two passenger flights in our big red balloon scheduled each day of the weekend- one in the morning and one in the evening.
Like all our flights, a ride in our big red balloon from Northampton Town Festival must be booked in advance.
If you already have a valid flight voucher, you can book online to fly from the festival today.
If you do not have a flight voucher already and want to experience the Northampton skies like never before, you can see our range of options before buying online here or call our team on 01952 212750.
Car parking for Northampton Town Festival is clearly sign-posted during the weekend, so please follow directions and park in one of the general visitor car parks.
For morning flights before the festival itself opens, parking is free and you will need to attend the security control room, who will provide you with a balloon passenger wristband and inform our pilot and crew that you are there.
For evening flights, parking at the festival site will cost the standard £5 for the evening. You must attend the security control room for a wristband before being met by your pilot and crew.
The only access to the site is from the junction of Trinity Road and St Georges Aventure on the Friday evening. Please park at the end of the balloon arena and attend the security control room for a passenger wristband. Your pilot and crew will meet you once you have your wristbands.
Further information will be available on your flight information line the day of your scheduled flight.
