“The flight was a Christmas gift from my mum and dad,” said Joanne.
“A balloon ride over my home town of Worcester is something I’d always wanted to do, so it was great to finally tick it off my bucket list.”
Joanne said the launch was her favourite part of the adventure with the excitement of getting higher and higher.
“The take-off was certainly the best bit
and I was surprised at how smooth the landing was as well. It was lovely to meet fellow passengers who were celebrating special occasions. It was one couple’s anniversary, so that was great to be a part of.”
She also commented on how organised the experience was from start to finish.
“There was no hanging around and it was great to help out with the setting up and packing away of the balloon – my job was to hold on to the rope, which I thought was going to take off with me at one point but it was all good fun!”
Offering her advice to anyone who is nervous of flying or heights
, Joanne said:
“Just relax and have trust in your pilot – you could tell that our pilot Russell was an expert in his field, so that put any nerves at ease for me.”
Joanne’s family and friends have commented on all her amazing photos and her sister and her partner are eager to go on an airborne adventure too.
“They’ve all been asking me loads of questions and admiring the personalised certificate I was given at the end with the Champagne toast.”
For Joanne, her hot air balloon ride over Worcester
fulfilled all expectations.
“It was really good to see all the lovely views and places I recognised across Worcestershire. I’d recommend the experience to anyone.”
