Berkhamsted Hot Air Balloon Ride

Fun & Interesting Facts

Berkhamsted is where William the Conquerer officially confirmed his ‘conquerer credentials’. Berkhamsted Castle, now under the care of English Heritage, is where the king received submission of the English following their defeat at the Battle of Hastings.

An unforgettable Hertfordshire hot air balloon ride adventure awaits when you go up, up and away from our beautiful Berkhamsted launch site.

Take life higher on the flying experience of a lifetime when you hop on board our iconic big red balloon.

Enjoy panoramic views of stunning rolling Hertfordshire countryside stretching as far as the eye can see as you drift majestically wherever the wind takes you.

Keep an eye out for the Ashbridge Estate, a magnificent National Trust property and parkland along the main ridge of the Chiltern Hills.

The focal point is the Bridgewater Monument, built in 1832 to the Duke of Bridgewater in recognition of his pioneering canal development.

A truly unique flying experience, nothing compares to the feeling of going up, up and away on a spectacular Hertfordshire hot air balloon ride.

You will approach the launch site on the A4251.
There is a small track that runs up to the launch site to the right hand side of the Cow Roast pub. Follow the track for about 200m and on the left you will see the entrance to the car park for Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club.
Please drive in and park your cars in the car park, where we will meet you.
