The right wind could even bring the dramatic skyline of the city itself in the distance.
To the north and west lie miles of patchwork fields, while to the south lie the towns of Irlam and Altrincham.
Our balloons launch from City Airport and Heliport in Eccles, a small and friendly site with a pleasant restaurant and viewing facilities for those who come along to wave you off on your airborne adventure.
